The classes are finishing up their chapters in preparation for the exams next week. Students will not have school on Friday March 27. I trust everyone will enjoy the time off. May you please the Lord in everything you do.

March 9-13, 2009

This week will be busy. Monday some secondary students will be going to speech meet. Tuesday-Thursday 11th and 12th grade will be taking the MME.
Pre Algebra
This week we learn about Pythagoras and his theorem. We also will be working with real numbers for real life application.
7th History
The class is looking at the different types of economies in South Asia. We will be watching a video on the Ganges River.
Algebra 2
The 10th Grade will be taking the PLAN test on Wednesday. We will finish chapter 8 and get ready for the chapter test.
Business Math
The 11th and 12th grade will be taking the MME test Tuesday thru Wednesday.
8th Grade Bible
We will finish lesson 13 this week and be working on a project. Friday they will take Isaiah 53: 4-6 verse quiz.

Pre Algebra

We will be taking a test on Tuesday over Chapter 8. The next chapter we will introduce this week will be over square roots. We will learn how to approximate and simplify.

7^th History

The class is looking at the different types of government in South Asia. We will be looking into a tour of the Ganges River by reading facts and drawing diagrams. Don’t forget about your current events for Friday.

Algebra 2

We will be learning about the logarithms and their properties. We will also discuss the history of the logarithms.

Business Math

The class is working on a way to write out inventory sheets.

8^th Grade Bible

Matthew 5: 11-20 verse test and lesson 12 quiz. We will begin lesson 13 which will cover people who hunger and thirst after righteousness.

I cannot believe it has been three weeks since school started. It has been a blessing getting to know the new students and getting reacquainted with the returning students. It is always great to see how God is using some of them to further his gospel. I pray that each of our students will allow God to use them in all they do. This week we have a few quizzes and projects in some classes. The schedule is as follows:

Pre-Algebra: Wednesday-Properties quiz

7th History: Tuesday- Quiz on Chapter 8 section 3; Wednesday- we will finish the art project
we will start on Tuesday in class. It will be on an Egyptian culture.

Algebra 2: Wednesday- Quiz 2.1-2.3

Business Math: Tuesday- Quiz Chpt.2; Wednesday- project on running a pizza shop; Friday-
Chapter 2 Test

8th Bible: Friday- Chapter 2 Quiz and Psalm 139:7-9 verse quiz

Welcome back all you sleepy heads. It is time to start the new school year. For most of you this means no more sleeping in. I am excited about this year in seeing what God is going to do in each of our lives. Thank you parents for allowing me to have an opportunity to teach your child. I will be teaching Pre-Algebra, 7th History, Algebra 2, Business Math, Calculus, and 8th Bible. It will be wonderful to have each student in class and eager to learn. I will see you tomorrow at the Nature Center.
